Last year I moved from Harlem to Long Island City, Queens. To be honest, it was not my first choice, but over the last year, I’ve discovered some quirky and interesting things about my new neighborhood. Plus, like all of New York City, it’s expanding rapidly with new restaurants, bars, and activities.

Now, I get to explore and share what I find on the new blog Brownstoner Queens. In addition to tracking restaurant openings and closures in the borough, I keep my eye open for interesting happenings in my neighborhood.

It’s interesting to write about what’s happening in my neighborhood – and my life. Plus, I hear this Internet thing is going to be huge.
